About the Role

Front of House Manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. They must ensure efficient restaurant operation as well as maintaining high production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards so that the restaurant runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences.

To be successful in this role, a Front of House Manager must have excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills. They must be excellent at leading a team and problem solving while also having strong customer service skills.

  • Coordinate daily Front of the House restaurant activities.

  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.

  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.

  • Organize and supervise shifts.

  • Monitor staff performance, conduct reviews and, if necessary, let go employees.

  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.

  • Maintain restaurant’s good image.

  • Hire and train new employees and instruct all employees on proper customer service practices.

  • Have extensive food and beverage knowledge with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff.

  • Familiar with restaurant management software.
